About the event
This is a four-part, pre-recorded video tutorial, that can be watched independently at your own pace. The approximately 90-minute video workshop will guide you through the entire process of sewing your Waldorf-inspired strawberry baby, basket, and pillow. This video is accompanied by a pdf sewing pattern, which will be emailed to you (my apologies that this step is not automated). Complete sewing kits of materials are also available for your convenience in the ticket options.
This video series covers the following topics:
- Materials and tools
- Working with wool felt
- Threading needles and tieing off threads
- Whip stitch, blanket stitch, running stitch, and ladder stitch
- Shaping a simple Waldorf-inspired doll head and hands
- Stuffing your doll with wool
- Embroidering facial details
- Assembling the pillow and basket
This virutal class is beginner friendly and requires no previous sewing experience. It is recommended for novice adults or very experienced older children (ages 12+).

General registration includes access to one-hour of pre-recorded video footage (divided into 4 short videos with easy-to-access chapter marks), as well as a pdf sewing pattern emailed to you. You may also opt to have a complete materials kit mailed to your door, or a double kit with which to make TWO strawberries with baskets and pillows!
